After speaking to the RAFA rep at my station at RAF cottesmore, i mentioned the possibility of trying to organise an enthusiats photoshoot day at cot early next year before we close to raise funds for RAFA, just as a straw poll is there much interest out there ???

In light of the fact that the 16th of december is the last day of flying the harrier, it was also announced that that will effectively be the last flying day as well, ie no air traffic after this so it can’t happen
unfortunately SDSR has kyboshed this now as well

The fact that I knew/know and worked with/sat next to the current Force Commander at Cottesmore when he was a Squadron Leader, has got nothing to do with anything.:D
He did have some good ‘Pull up a sandbag’ type stories from when he was in the Arrows and flying Harriers off a boat though.
