The fourth American Air Day was held at Duxford again and about the only down side was the wind which was cutting across the airfield which stopped the BBMF from landing on their tour of Battle of Britain airfields. A gust appeared to catch the MC-130 as it was slowing down but Dave Puleston used it to good effect when he pointed the nose of the Cub into the wind and appeared to hover like a Harrier on the spot. The lighting during the day was variable from cloudy to blue sky, bright sunshine to flat light.
