Martin – I spotted two gents on the hill with L lenses, wondered if they were forum regulars!
Red Hunter – indeed, I recall hearing something about an aerobatic aircraft (Cap 232 I think, but I may be wrong) being scheduled to display once the Typhoon returned, but nothing materialised. Likewise, there was some confusion earlier in the day regarding the flying order. Keeping the lines of communication clear is always important at any airshow, regardless of size, in my opinion.

As always, really terrific pictures, Elliott. But I share a degree of disappointmernt with some other posters about the event itself. These days £5 is very little, so perhaps we shouldn’t expect too much, but I thought the overall organisation and communication of what was happening was very poor. I spoke to the PA commentatior who claimed he was totally in the dark most of the time.

Thanks for posting!
Lovely pictures Elliot. I was with someone else positioned on a grass hump which had a brick tower on top just a few yards away from the hard standing car park.
Like you, I thought the flying display was worth £5.00 but from your comments on your excellent GAR review it seems they could have done more to attract a bigger crowd.
I could not hear the commentary that well from where I was but I heard the word ‘Buchon’ mentioned later in what a thought was left of the running order – as a last moment addition. Maybe I was wrong as it did not appear.
I was hoping the Typhoon would ‘do something’ when it came back from Southend though not in expectation.
Cheers
Martin
