100sqn also operate aircraft alloocated to JFACTSU

Joint Forward Air Control Training and Support Unit (JFACTSU) at Leeming so that’s their badge on the fin.

What are the helicopters just visible in the Spitfire picture?

I just did a search useing the number on the tail……..

Branch: Indian Air Force

Hi James.

I’m not sure who XX265 flies with but the badge looks like the insignia used by Combined Operations during WW2……..

It could be that during WW2 Combined Operations had some RAF squadrons attached to it and XX265 is currently serving in one of those squadrons?

One site has XX265 listed as being with 100 Sqdn. I checked and found that 100 didn’t have anything to do with combined Ops during WW2.
