A thoroughly enjoyable show and even the bit of rain didn’t spoil things and a pity the sun didn’t shine much at the start of the flying. Rather than covering the home team some photos of the visiting acts.

Why is it the Wasp always makes me think ‘Why put rotors on an oil rig?’

Hi Rob
I completed a 30% Skyraider a couple of years ago and have a huge amount of photo documentation you are more than welcome to. Drop me an e-mail at
phil@fighteraces.co.uk and I can stick it all on a CD for you………..

All the best……..

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
Love the first picture of the Raider with her wings folded. Don’t suppose you have any more shots of this aircraft do you as I’m building an R/C model of one and the detail shots are a help?

I took three pics of the Skyraider (static, folded) on Sunday, which you are welcome to look at. If you’re interested please P.M. with your e-mail address – they are not up to the standard of those shown, but may be of some use.

Nice shots, really like the Sabre topside and good to see the Skyraider out and about.

Silly question. But is the man in the last photo, wearing the german helmet, holding a stick with a biplane on the end or is there a plane passing just at the wrong moment?
