I really wanted to get a nice photo for you of the airshow grounds at Naval Air Station Miramar near San Diego, but these guys kept getting in the way:

It was hard to escape the feeling that they were taunting me for their own amusement!

A Jet Provost on arrivals day, still painted up in RAF colors (though I suspect the graphic of Wile E. Coyote being sucked into the engine is a later addition). Looks almost identical to the militarized Strikemasters which served in the New Zealand air force:

This shot doesn’t just have a rainbow effect, you can also see a triangular shock wave below the vapor which has formed underneath the engine intakes.

The sky was a bit crowded at times:
