The September show which has often been rained off in the past, managed to get almost all of the participants airborne, unfortunately due to earlier in climate weather at Brize Norton the Vulcan was only able to attend Southport. I hear many out towards the west of Duxford at another airfield were also deprived of her attendance.
The weather was a mix bag, upon arrival the weather was showery, but heavier rain pushed through, and just before the 2 PM kick off time the rain came down heavy dropping gallons of rain onto the airfield. Pushing the start time back, however in previous years this would have stopped play but today was Duxfordโs 90th anniversary and the show went on, the sun made several appearances and during the Finale the sun combined with the clouds provided a most excellent background.
On a more disappointing note the stepladder brigade was out in force and was pushed right up to the front of the fence, now although attendance was down this is still wrong and if any of you who were on ladders and are reading this be advised not to bring them to the October show.
All in all though a most enjoyable show, now on with the pictures, as always constructive criticism welcomed.
Stewart.

You say Peter:

Do you know something we don’t????
I am not a lover of people using steps either, in fact I think it is so inconsiderate and selfish to do this and should be banned. If you have kids with you, sit next to them. The kids are always playing about and will no doubt bump into them quite regularly which will upset them. Bothered? Na !!! :diablo:
What aircraft pulled the banner across the sky please??
