Despite the weather which varied from rain when I parked up to blue sky and sunshine then dark and cloudy and lastly hazy sunshine, this was a cracking show and well done to everyone involved. Alister Kay in ‘Ferocious Frankie’ started the Pageant with the 4 key elements required for starting an Air Show. Surprise, Noise, Speed and Low. Ahhh, Lightnings in the 60s. First time I have seen the d.h. Comet moving under its own steam and I think the last time I saw the Blackburn B2 fly was in the early 90s at Church Fenton. Was stood down by the control tower for some top side and landing/take off shots.
