Nothing to report. It was so wet and miserable I gave up and went home at 11.30am. I got there for 8:45am – had a quick walk around.
Apart from a couple of Tornado’s and Hawks and a few choppers there was very little else on static.
Found a neighbour in one of the hangers, face painting (well, she would have been face painting if there were any customers).
Only took one picture, of the AHFs Auster (I think), which was sitting forlornly on it’s own.
Did anyone stick around for the show?
When I left a Hawk had to stay at about 20 feet on take off any higher and it would have been lost in the gloom. Tornadoes disappeared almost immediately their wheels left the ground.
I’m not having much luck this year.

Thanks for that.
My timing was only approximate – you probably arrived just as I was leaving. Sorry I missed you.

It’s not one of the AACHAF’s Austers, it’s XR240/G-BDFH – privately owned.
If you were there up until 1130 how come you missed us arriving in the T-6 Texan LN-AMY?

Glad I never went. Tried to fly there yesterday but decided against it after looking at the forecast. Instead, spent 2 days getting sunburnt in kent 🙂
