Thanks Dean. Sounds like a few other folk were put off by the crosswind. Nice photos though.

We were only there for Sunday afternoon, and the photos pretty much cover what was there. There were a few more Group A’s, seen behind the Miles Gemini, and a couple of Microlights, but that’s about it. One of the resident Autogyros ventured out, putting on a decent show (didn’t get a photo of that) but conditions were not ideal with a blustery crosswind. The BBMF cancelled Saturday’s appearance because of strong crosswinds at Coningsby, so I think we went on the better day. Also spotted in the distance, going along the Humber, another Dak, with D-Day invasion stripes. I’m guessing this was ‘Drag-Em-Oot’ but it didn’t return, so I can’t confirm that – are there any other Daks sporting invasion stripes? Shame it didn’t do a flypast.

Dean.

Thanks for those. I was hoping to fly in but the crosswinds at our strip defeated me. How many visiting aircraft made it?
