I think it’s the first time I have used my Tamron 200x500mm zoom at an air show in such errrrr, ‘naff’ conditions. Trying to track a silver/grey aircraft against a grey background in low light, proved interesting. Knowing the limitations of the lens in low light, I should be able to make better use of it now. Despite the conditions, I quite enjoyed my first show of the season at Old Warden, and now just a few images from the lower end of the ISO scale.

Nice pictures in spite of the conditions.
It’s amazing how Mr Holloway manages to ‘catch’ a balloon every time.
