Hi
A lovely end to the season. My pics are a bit late but a few comments nevertheless.
My highlight of the display was the Sabre and Sea Hawk formation pass. Most of the flying I thought was good or very good.
However, after seeing the F15 and heritage formation and the Spitfire Typhoon formation earlier in the year I found I was not overly impressed with the F16/Spit/Mustang combination but still nice to see. I appreciate that there may have been factors that could have limited the formation flying.
The Spitfire formation and tail chase display in conjuction with the 109 did not do the usual routine. Instead the Grumman aircraft took up this role by one aeroplane flying closer to the crowd line and the other two taking up position further away after an initial close pass.
Thank for a great show. A few pics with more to come.

Thsanks everybody for your nice comments.
I forgot to mention the Nimrod. It as he first time I have ever seen it do a looping display. Unfortunately, I was not in the right part of the the crowd line for the loops so any pics I have got of it are rather small and well and truly against the light.
James, I do not know if there was any significance in the F16/Spit/Mustang combo. Can anyone provide an answer?
A last round of pics from me.
Martin

I knew I was going to miss something good when I gave in to my wife’s request (read: demand) to stay home with the family… Your photos just prove that.
Sabre and Sea Hawk, the Nimrod, Pilatus, dang… 🙁
Glad you had a good one though. Great pics! 😎
Only 7 months to wait now… I’ll live… argh…

Fantastic shots Martin 😎 Do you know what the F16/Spit/Mustang flypast was all about? I think would off been gret to seen. And did you catch the BBMF Spitfire The Last at the end when Al did a flypast?

Lovely! Top notch stuff. I aspire to taking pics like this so looking at them is a mixed pleasure!
I enjoyed the whole show, but the solo Bearcat display was a highlight for me, particularly the loops that disappeared into the cloud. Nimrod was lovely to see to, a very spirited display and the Tucano was displayed with more verve than I have seen in the past (the landing directly following a stall turn was class!)

Nice pics. It looks as though you had the blessing of some good weather which seems to have been a commodity in short supply this year.
