Hello from Traumahwk

Thanks Jen for the pic of G-JJAN at Dunsfold, I think it is great…you can even see my step-father taking a photo.

I realise I haven’t properly introduced myself to the forum, so here is a little introduction.

My name is Ashley (I’m a bloke just so as to avoid any confusion), I am a 38 yr old media technician at a local school where I teach students how to make videos and also run an aviation studies enrichment module (get ’em started on flying whilst they’re young!) and I take lots of photos for press releases and so on.

I have always loved flying things, watching in awe as aircraft fly overhead. When I got hold of a camera with a decent zoom lens the first thing I would look for was any plane flying to take a snap of it!

I never thought I would fly a plane, but last year I gained my pilots licence after 2 years of exams and flight tests !! I have been flying out of Blackbushe into Sandown and Duxford many times since then, (I visited Flying Legends in G-JJAN), and I also fly a Tomahawk (G-BPHI), which is also known as a Traumahawk, hence my screen name. Neither are mine, so if you see either of them, come over and chat to the pilot, it might be me.

I will post some pix from airshows I visit, a link for my aviation photos is at the end of this intro.

Unless it is a foh-par I will let you know when I am flying into events so you can chat and also please get a pic of me flying (I just like seeing a picture of a plane flying, and taking great pride in knowing it was me at the controls !).
