A few shots from today’s action, on the whole a very good show that benefited from superb weather. Highlights for me was the Nimrod/Hurricane duo and the superlative Neville Duke tribute with the Spitfire and Hunter pair.
Further comments and photos tomorrow.

Here’s a further selection.
More stunning photos, G-IZII and the contrail does it for me, pure magic.
I’m also pleased that in the photos of Miss D, it’s not that obvious I’m carrying half flap.

Maybe we should start a campaign.
Vimy To The Skies anyone? :diablo:
You may be surprised at just how much has gone on with that in mind.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing. I’m familiar with the wing overs of our B25, but I have never seen a glider being town inverted. Not even a Swift.

Melvyn, I heard the Vimy maybe taking to the skies sometime soon, have they secured the services of the certain little red Beaver pilot yet.
Septic.
It is all rather flexible at the moment and I am unable to be more specific than that, but a considerable amount of effort has been put in over the past couple of weeks. We await news ourselves.

Hi Septic
More very nice pics.
Unless I am mistaken, Melvyn does not have a red Beaver.

:diablo: Thought we’d agreed not to mention the ice’d refreshements again, at least until they sponsor me 😎
I think it only fair to mention that this little item of mirth was thought up by the nice man who ran the commentary caravan at Biggin. I was almost on the floor when he said it originally, and make no apologies for stealing the line, but Mick Ure (who was piloting the VIP bus)’s wife heard this on Sunday and said “OH, yes, IT IS A ZOOM!!!!” I knew I recognised it . . . “
Good display Guv. Respect.

Oh look, two of my favourite aeroplanes. . .

Great shots Jen,
The solo Hawk and Mustang shots are very good.

Thanks everyone, and especially ‘Flapjack’ for once again leaving everyone with such a lasting memory of the show.
Flapjack, regarding the impression of the the Hunter being closer than the Spitfire. I’m guessing that the size differential of the two aircraft, coupled with a depth of field that has kept both aircraft in focus to the point that they appear much closer together than they probably were in reality, is fooling the eye or should I say the brain of those that view the shot.
Its a shame so many missed the shows finale, I guess many left early to avoid a repeat of the very slow entry speed.
Here’s a further selection.

Brilliant Flying Jonathan and I travelled all the way from Newcastle Upon Tyne, just for this show and the flypast were well worth it.
Nice to see you more on the circuit this year at Shows at Biggin Hill, East Fortune and Elvington.
Look forward to more shows this year and welcome to the forum
Safe flying
Paul:)

Hi Jen
Super pics. The Hunter/Spit due image is the best I have seen in any forum.:)

Septic,
Riddle me this, the lower aircraft in each Hunter/Spit photo is the closest to you, so why do I look closer to the camera than Charlie in the second photo! (Check the Spit’s aerial)
