Has anyone thought about extending a request to China, for them to attend one of our Airshows?
I’m sure they’d be “interested” if such a request was received – especially next year.
I’m not asking that they display their latest, super secret, aircraft – anything would be nice, and would help extend a hand of friendship in both directions. And just think of the media attention such a visit would attract.
Perhaps a non-military invitation – from an event such as the Kemble Air Day – might be an interesting, and less controversial, start.
I’d make a special effort to improve my Chinese (putonghua) language skills, should anyone want to ask my assistance during a visit by them.
Here’s hoping.
