A Bridge's Eye View of Cosford (no, not the railway bridge)

Here are a few piccies from Cosford. Weather was misty to start with, but by the end of the afternoon, even though I used sunblock, my right hand was barbequed.

Great traffic management at Cosford this year, too (much improved on the year before last). I was in without any delay (mind you I got there at 7:30), and left at 5:30 almost as quickly.

I was in front of the disabled parking, about halfway long the runway midway between the parked aircraft. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to walk around the static park, or the hangers, etc., due to my poor fitness levels.

The BBMF Dakota was seen a lot – it’s arrival, then for own display, followed by the RAF parachute team, then came back in – presumably to pick up the jump team – and it’s 3rd departure of the afternoon.

Hi Rob.

Nice pic of the Herc.

Not sure if those two people were myself and somebody else. There was another person with a green flat cap about five feet to my right and a bit behind me with a longish black lens but he was not with me.

I was with a spotter who has no camera and is a bit older than me.

Cheers

There were two relatively young men with lenses longer than my arm, to my right (their left). In front of an icecream van and the last grill. Perhaps you were one of them?

I was (still am) the rotund fellow with the high back canvas chair.

Hi Rob

I could not have been too far away from you. I was right at the front just left of the orange bollard markng the centre of the datum and the last burger stand was just to my right.

I arrived at 7.10am and left shortly after the Mustang and Kittyhawk departed.

I wish Peter Teichman could have displayed his Mustang again in the absence of the Canberra and Hurricane.

Some nice pics there.

Nice pics Rob

I didn’t manage to get a single decent shot of the Huey.
