dark light

Horay I finaly managed to get it to work.

Went to Duxford yesterday, first time since July, with my Fuji S5600. I was out mext to the field trying to work out how to alter the settings so I could get Prop Blur and after many failed attempts

Great shots!
I always use shutter priority for my shots. I use 250 for props and 500 or above for jets. If you are taking shots of aircraft taking off or landing then use 250 for jets as this will blur the background and give more of an impression of speed. Panning with the aircraft is essential for this to work well.
Hope this helps.

Nice shots Mr Angry,

A good tip I was once told was to put your camera on ‘shutter priority’ and set the shutter speed for 1/250th and let everything else sort itself out, iso speed left at 100 and you should get some nice prop blur.

If you want more prop blur then just move down to 1/125th.

Regards,

John.
