Photos from a few days ago during the Red Flag 07-2 military exercise at Nellis air force base near Las Vegas.

Fair play to the pilot. I’d say he did a good job there, in fact I reckon he earned his day’s pay purely on the merit of those few seconds.

Great pictures.
Those F111’s – I always feel like I want to pull it backwards, let it go – and watch it zoom along the kitchen floor – like a clockwork toy. Must be something to do with the undercarriage layout.

Actually, judging by late last year’s problem with an Aussie F111, and the pilots exceptional skill in getting it down safely – I wonder if they need undercarriages at all!!!
