The arrivals day was well worth being around for, and it paid to stick around for departures after the show, too:

The usual selection of warbirds which Thunder Over Michigan is famous for:

Thunder Over Mighican had by far the best selection of British and German aircraft of any show in the USA in 2006, a Bf109E, Ju-52, a couple of Hurricanes and two Spitfires:

Will Ward’s MiG-17 had a wardrobe undercarriage malfunction:

Modern stuff wasn’t forgotten, either:

One of the highlights for me was the Collings Foundation’s TA-4 Skyhawk:
