Have been tempted to do rent a camera next year but would need guidance in that area.
Well you know if you do, there are plenty of accomplished photographers on here and PT that will be more than willing to point you in the right direction.
If you talk to them nicely, them may even lend you one of theirs 😉

I have been looking around and the costs for me on supermarket wages plus college fees plus driving lessons and so forth I cannot afford a DSLR currently. Have been tempted to do rent a camera next year but would need guidance in that area.

Nice shots Stuart, you certainly are able to work that point and shoot and put many DSLR users to shame. Think what you could do with a proper camera.
