Thought I’d start my first post with yet more Dunsfold shots. It takes me forever to process my photos that I’ve only just got round to doing them 😀
I’m fairly new at all this stuff and only in recent few years started getting an interest in aviation photography. Good airshow though. I think I got better shots there than at Farnborough. Sad that Dunsfold is likely to be replaced by houses though 🙁
Edit: Images removed due to theft by Dunsfold / Rutland Group
Not as close as many of the other shots here, and that’s with my 300mm f/4 lens and 1.4x converter. Some of you guys must have some serious kit! 🙂

When the lens gets heavier it gets kinda easier, due to weight and inertia 🙂
Also many of the more professional lenses have image stabilising… but this doesn’t always help.

Cheers all. Yeah, I know what you mean about props :D. I’ve been practising a fair bit and I get the odd lucky shot out of hundreds but I struggle with lower shutter speeds and yet retaining a sharp image with a fast moving object. Hand holding a long lens is difficult though I see people at airshows with much bigger and heavier lenses yet handholding which amazes me.

The Sea Fury shot looks very nice (great light and colours), but it’s a pity that the prop is nearly frozen. For prop planes, try not to exceed 1/400th – preferrably something like 1/250th (for helicopters even lower, say 1/125th).

Good pics for starters.
As far as the housing project is concerned the locals certainly do not like it and the infrastructure for it in the area is virtually zilch.

Welcome to the forum and what a very nice selection of pics! 🙂
It was a very enjoyable show at a very nice location.
I really hope that the houses don’t get built, as I can’t help but think of how West Malling ended up. 😡
Cheers
