Hi, just would like to add, i love the Hercules pictures, i often did that as i was based at RAF Lyneham as an Air Dispatcher, often carried this very steep decent down towards the runway, then once toched down it was hang on for dear life haha then back ramp lowered then total chaos for us to offload the landrover then to take up defence positions on the aircraft , then ramp up then hold on for life again for a very steep and high altitude takeoff,,,, all in a days work 😀 hehe bet yes very welldone, i tried to make it to Elvington airshow but too many comminments that day unfortunatly. i would absolutley love to see the Victor fly again, fantastic aircraft !
once again great work 252 🙂

Hi, Great shots.
I’ve only recently got into aircraft photography and being in a wheelchair can’t always get into the positions i would like to get the shots i would like but i get by.
Airshows are quite frustrating as i usually end sat in the crowd and when displays start everyone stands up so i’m restricted on the whole to aerial shots or a well judged shot through a gap in the crowd but hey.
I was wondering if you managed to get a shot of the explosion under the canbera bomb run on sunday.
Cheers
Tony

Hi,
Just to fill you all in on what happened, stops rumour control going into overdrive!
We have had for a month or so spurious fire warnings for number 4 engine, even with the engines off. This is caused by damp getting onto the firewire and causing it to signal as there being a fire. When this came on in the cockpit we knew it would be a false warning however decided to get it checked out, just to be sure. Thus followed a fairly slow run back as we are not in the business of risking, our safety or that of the public, and of course, the aircraft!
We believe the fault was caused by the heavy downpours on sat after the run and throughout the night.
Typically though, a few hours later when we put ground power on to move fuel around and check everything out, the warning had gone!
Sorry for those that were dissapointed on the sunday, hopefully we will have better luck next year!
Better safe than sorry every time!

lovely shots. I went Saturday and it was a bit grim but not too bad to spoil it all.
