A few shots from Saturdays display at Elvington, punctuated by heavy but short-lived showers it was however another great display. Highlights for myself was the Victor, Bucc, the Hunter doing an airfield attack accompanied by an impressive explosion, and not forgetting Christian Moullec with his formation geese!

Certainly not by air! I can’t imagine anyone moving Lindy – the cost alone would be too great – splitting at the transport joints etc.
Several years ago, there were rumours and speculation that the airshow would move, but that came to nothing. Personally, I can’t see either of the things you mention happening. The airshow is VERY popular, and is the only airshow on an airfield in the north of England (anywhere south of the M62 is SOUTH…and Sunderland’s show is not exactly brilliant given that the display line is half a mile out to sea….)
edit – sorry, forgot about breighton show – no big landing stuff though….

Hi Mantog, if you’re referring to the Elviongton shots, they’re not mine, they’re 1 Group’s so you’ll have to ask him (note the copyright notice on each set of photos, in the bottom right hand corner of each shot). As for my images, ISO settings don’t mean much as I use a simple Olympus 3.2 megapixel 3x optical zoom point and shoot jobbie. Actually, I borrow it from 1 Group as I killed my own camera last year and can’t afford a new one yet! However, with a little imagination it produces some presentable images. Cheers for asking though and glad you enjoyed the piccies!
