Private messages (enabled only for moderators at first) -This is for testing purposes, once we are happy we with it it will be switched on for all the users.
Private message flood control (20 messages per hour per sender. i.e. a sender can send no more than 20 per hour, regardless of who they are to) This can be tweaked and removed later
A new role for customers so that you can leave Forum access on but remove Private Messaging (this will stop them receiving or sending)
A new header quote icon and number showing the messages.
Customers can report and “unreport” messages to moderators (if they are being abused)

Am I the only one that still cant use private messaging? I click onto the relevant area and click new message and it comes back with page not found.. I mean really?!?!?

That has been an issue in the past: users with a full or diabled inbox, and a fake / since deleted e-mail.

Is it possible that admins & mods can send private messages to users regardless of them opting out ?
It would be useful when we have to warn them about something
