Last Saturday there was what looked like the tail of an IL-76 at the passenger terminal at Stansted, but all I could see was the tail. Defiantly looked Russian though. Haven’t seen one there for a long time and never seen one at the pax terminal before.
Any ideas as to what it was?

Many thanks Phil. My son was gutted that we didn’t see it arrive or take off but at least the puzzle has been solved.

The IL76 was RA76950, it arrived as VDA4789. Its departure was initially delayed due to fog at BUD, but then it went tech so stayed longer than anticipated.
