Lockheed Galaxy C-5 at MAN.

Another forum is remembering an interesting occurrence at MAN airport in the ’80’s. Apparantly a C-5 (00464) on the 18th February, 1984 performed a low fly-by for the benefit ‘of a trainee controller’, (believe that story if you will!). I wouldn’t think any photos exist of this happening, unless you know better?!

Sorry haven’t heard about this but wouldn’t surprise me if it did. i know that they asked a passing Lockheed Constellation (possibly the MATTS Connie) to do a fly past a decade or so when it was flying over to Duxford. There’s always been a keen grass roots interest in aviation at Manchester and it wouldn’t surprise me that if anything of interest was overhead that they would ask for “fly by”. Perhaps some local spotters could clarify?
