They didn’t, had a look at the leg, it had a crack where the chromed part of the strut met the axle, the crack had been there a while in my opinion, so under braking it failed. By 9 am it was sitting on a replacement undercarriage leg in the hangar, though possibly simply just a slave unit.

Great photos! The airport was expected to re-open late Wednesday night, not sure if that happened looking at the photos.

Stuff still getting off smaller wise, presently airbagging it up and getting ready to shift it off, they are also resurfacing part of the runway, damn potholes 😉
