GORASZKA AIR SHOW 2006

GORASZKA is a small town near warsaw (capital of Poland)
Since 2001 (as I remember) it has been accomplished small but nice AIRSHOW with participation of some ineteresting planes.
For me the most exciting (from year to year) have been shows done by polisk assault chopper MI 24 (my favorite machines) from 49 – th Combat Helicopters Regiment (MI 24 HIND-D).

Look at these “crazy spiders” (one photo is from Iraq – polish MI’s are particpaintng in stabilization Ops)

GOOD LUCK for HIND’s Fans 🙂 (not only …)

I agree, very agressive but beautiful :diablo:

But look at the south african SUPERHIND Mk III.
Very strong modernized in all aspects , with completly brand new russian engines, s.a. avionic systems, very eficient anti-tank missiles, 37 mm cannon (!) and launched rocket system 80 mm !! (in russian vesrion even 120mm).
Thi is the most powerful assault chopper on earth !

Wow! Very different! 🙂

Is it just me, or did anyone else hear “Ride of the Valkyries” in their heads?? 😀

That’s correct ! Very good impression ! In many times this Wagner’s music is presented during a show.

See some other pics

GOOD LUCK

Wow, what a (set of ) photograph(s), wish they could be persuaded to visit the UK!

Who knows, but now polish MI 24 will be modernized for all-weather, day&night avionic systems, and I think that next visit will be possible next year.

These machines are from 49-th Combat Helicopter Regiment from Pruszcz Gdanski (near Gdansk).
These four machines have established 49-th HIND DISPLAY TEAM.
8-th machines is still in Iraq, and pilota are rotating in service. That’s very strong for pilots.
These old (about 25-20 years) machines have had fantastic “readiness coefficiant” in Iraqi evironment – about 75% of readiness in 2r h service !

I would like to recommend U video film of 49-th Regiment HINDS which available in BRASILIAN (!!!) aviation forum .

Good Luck !
