Will these be used for routes to Europe?

I don’t think any of the Pakistani carriers are particularly safe, I’d personally say it’s one of the most dangerous (if not the most dangerous) country to take a flight from. Very little aviation regulation, poor pilot training and shoddy maintenance jobs.
PIA flight 688 (2006), AirBlue flight 202 (2010), Bhoja Air flight 213 (2012).
No. Thank. You.

Maybe they are expanding too quickly. They have just been fined for lack of punctuality over Hajj flights and earlier in the year had maintenance problems with a plane which closed Lahore airport.

Think you are corrrect that Europe is not on their map at the moment. Interesting that all 330’s started with Aer Lingus, then Vladivostok Avia and now Shaheen being leased from ILFC.
She was indeed painted at AMS. I thought maybe for service to Europe.
If I can remember I flew her once while she was still with Aer lingus.
Would be nice if they would start service to Europe one day.

Whilst the photo was taken at Amsterdam, this is not indicative that it was there on scheduled commercial service.
I actually think it may have been at the airport for repainting? Looking at the aircraft’s history, VQ-BEQ (soon to become AP-BKN) hasn’t yet been handed over to Shaheen. I believe it is due to be handed over in December.

Unfortunately, I don’t think Europe is on the agenda for the new A330s http://www.pstimes.com/2012/08/03/shaheen-air-acquires-new-a-330-aircraft-2/
What makes me laugh is the Shaheen website “The aircraft has a very comfortable two class layout with a seating capacity of 327 passengers.” 😮 Oxymoron?
To put things into perspective, when VS first acquired the A333 they operated them on economy heavy routes (MAN-MCO & LGW-MCO) – yet even with their 2 class service (30″ economy, 38″ premium economy) they still only operated the aircraft with 314 seats.
So quite how you can offer a 2 class product (with full business class) on a 327 seat A333 and call it “very comfortable” is beyond me?
