Last week, the families of four of the missing people wrote to Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president, asking him to step up the search effort.

The chances of this incident turning out well in the end are getting slimmer and slimmer… 🙁

Among the missing men are the Chief of Serov city police, three police inspectors, the guard of the airport, a private company guard, a pensionist, a young unemployed guy and a local mobile shop owner.

The questions that come from that alone are staggering – were the chief of police and the police inspectors drunk as well? Were they kidnapped? If so, how the hell did two drunks kidnap 4 police officers and a private guard?!

Only in Russia I guess.

Is the story over now? No, not really, another missing An-2 and a Mil Mi-8 helicopter turned up during the operation. 😮

The “Booze Flight” is still very actively being searched for though according to today’s

“The plane may have gone to a sauna in a neighbouring district.” Eight days ago?
