Delta bought a number of MD-90s during the last years including the entire fleets of MD-90s formerly operated by Blue1, China Eastern, China Southern and nine aircraft from JAL. The latest development is that Delta Air Lines purchased seven MD-90s from Japan Airlines on April 18th, 2012. These aircraft will enter service with Delta by the end of 2013. Financial terms of the lastest deal were not officially revealed. In the end Delta secured the entire JAL MD-90-fleet of 16 aircraft.

I love these aircraft.
Next time I’m in the US, I’ll find out which routes they’re flying and take a pleasure flight.
