bmi Regional

When it was announced in October that LH were selling BD Regional they said the deal should be completed by the end of 2011 but all seems to have gone quiet. Has anyone heard anything else?

I know the IAG take over of BD includes Baby if LH can’t find another buyer for it. Do we know if this applies to Regional if it’s sale were to fall through?

the takeover of BD mainline by BA at the currently agreed price was on the condition that LH sold the Baby division, and that a significant price reduction would be in order if a buyer could not be found?

The takeover of BD mainline by IAG, but otherwise correct.

if BA/IAG is forced to take on the Baby division, would they perhaps look to hive it off to BE

Although BA does own 15% of BE it is a silent partner so has no say in BE’s affairs and I really don’t see BE wanting WW. I think it more likely IAG would look to offload WW to LS (the fit would be better for LS than BE) for a nominal fee. If that doesn’t work then I fear WW will be history.

As for Regional, I’ve not heard anything else new, but I thought that the takeover of BD mainline by BA at the currently agreed price was on the condition that LH sold the Baby division, and that a significant price reduction would be in order if a buyer could not be found?

And, if BA/IAG is forced to take on the Baby division, would they perhaps look to hive it off to BE, seeing as IAG owns a 15% stake of them, as they are more suited to take on the Baby division rather than BA itself…either that or BE could look to make a bid for itself?
