Allegiant Air today announced the purchase of an additional 13 MD-80s from Scandinavian Airlines including 12 spare engines. The value for this transaction is believed to be a little bit more than 20 million US $. Deliveries to Allegiant Air will start immediately and will be finished in February 2013.
