“One of France’s best-known actors, Gerard Depardieu, has enraged fellow plane passengers after relieving himself in the middle of the aisle on an Air France flight.
A passenger on the flight told French radio station Europe 1: “You could see that he had been drinking, but there were no comments. The hostess was shocked but there was no argument, nothing.”
The plane was preparing for take-off when Depardieu (star of ‘Green Card’ and the Asterix series) reportedly tried to get out of his seat to go to the toilet. When he was refused access to the bathroom and told to sit down, he urinated in the aisle in front of shocked passengers.
A spokesperson for Air France and CityJet, the subsidiary air carrier, confirmed the incident occurred and that the passenger was removed from the plane delaying the flight by over an hour while the team cleaned the carpet. They refused to confirm the identity of the passenger.
Depardieu was nominated for an Oscar and BAFTA for his role in ‘Cyrano de Bergerac’. He is currently filming the latest movie in the Asterix series.”
I must be very honest – I love France and it’s beautiful rural countryside but it used to be quite common on rural French country roads to see men relieving themselves at the side of the road. If a man’s got to go a man’s got to go – but not in the aisle of an Air France jet.

Summing it up –
It appears that the irate passenger who rang the French media initially suggested the actor Depardieu was inebriated which he clearly wasn’t.
Depardieu had repeatedly asked to go to the toilet.
Depardieu was repeatedly refused permission by the flight attendants.
Depardieu then was handed an empty bottle of Evian by his actor friend which overflowed when he used it.
Depardieu offered to clean up the mess.
Depardieu has problems with his prostate gland. Anyone in the medical know or having the misfortune to suffer with similar prostate problems will know that when a “Man’s got to go, a man’s got to go”.
Depardieu does not behave like this usually
The press as usual made sensational news of it initially, the airline reacted by the book and now we have at least a reasonable explanation.
It could happen to the best in similar medical circumstances.

Jay – you don’t have to drink alcohol to need to urinate! Another report said that the flight was delayed on the stand after Depardieu was told he would have to wait 15 minutes. Knowing no more than the typical media reports I have some sympathy with anyone who has the misfortune to suffer from bladder problems.
Perhaps he really did behave badly – but he is guaranteed to attract negative publicity.

That sums it up I guess “Je veux pisser” but no alcohol for two months it’s that damn magic portion again.😀

I would be more ´pee’d’ as a passenger that they delayed the flight by an hour to clean or whatever.
