Hi All,
As part of our annual ‘shuffle’ in the museum, over this coming winter I aim to get the model collection (about 400 of them) out with a view to an airing and any repairs that need doing.
The collection spans a beginning sometime in the 1930’s with early Frog kits, to hand carved ones made of wood just prior to and after WW2, and more recent kits throughout the last 50 years.
I was wondering, when I have all the models out on display would anyone be interested in seeing them at the museum?
Cheers.

I’m aiming to have them all out the last Saturday and Sunday in January 2013. So if anyone would like to come over and see them they would be most welcome. I’ll stick a reminder on here nearer the time too.

Lovely – there are some goodies there. You’ll let us know if you decide to show them in the New Year…..?

I’m thinking a weekend in January as it takes around two days to get them all together safely! The collection ranges from 1/72 right up to a 5ft Hurricane (ex-flying model). I’ll get some older pics of the collection posted tonight when I get home from work.

Always nice to see a collection of well presented builds. Especially the older classics!

I’d be up for that date and time allowing, of course. Having just started modelling again after a very long gap I would particularly enjoy seeing models from the 50s, when I struggled with plastic and balsa as a young but enthusiastic modeller.
