Does anyone know of any long haul aircraft on short haul routes in Europe, I know of the LAN A343 Madrid-Frankfurt-Madrid, the SIA 77W from Manchester to Munich and the BA B763s, does anyone know of any others?
Thanks
Nick

BA use 777s occasionally on the LHR and LGW to GLA routes on occasion since BMI pulled out.

I think that BA use a B747 on their LHR-CAI route (don’t they?)…not sure if that counts as long-haul though, to me its a short-haul route?
Typically CAI is considered Long Haul within the industry, which is odd really given that Cyprus and points in North Africa are considered Short Haul (or medium hal as we now use too, though this is still an ambigious definition). You are right though, BA use them on this route normally.

Winter 2010 Thomas Cook were using a 767 on weekend ski flights Manchester to Turin, may be same this coming winter
and about 10 years ago Airtours used to use their DC10s to get cruise passengers to Palma and back, this may be the case now with Thomsons for their cruises out of they they may put a 767 or A330 on

I booked to go on that last year on the 24th of July when they were running it to LHR but the day I went the A380 was used for something else so they brought a 77W instead, a bit unlucky.
