Hey All,
Just seen that British Airways will be painting six aircraft in their fleet with special colours.
The Aircraft are:
Boeing 747-436 G-CIVZ having Prince William on the Tail
Boeing 747-436 G-CIVW having Catherine Middleton on the Tail
Airbus A321-231 G-EUX* having Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the Tail ( The article says G-EUXN but there is no such aircraft in the fleet so im guessing G-EUXM)
Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIV having His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales on the Tail
Boeing 777-236ER G-VIIU having Prince Harry on the Tail
Airbus A319-131 G-EUOA having the Duke of Edinburgh on the Tail
It is quite nice to see British Airways doing this kind of thing. Hopefully with them doing all this painting special liveries that there maybe more retro jets in the works, they did a really nice job with painting CPET at the end of last year.

Many Thanks

Camilla looks more like a Shorts Skyvan.

Nah, the A380 gets Camilla and rightly so. Both ugly!

Perhaps HM will get stuck on BA’s first A380, to reflect her importance.

The queen only gets an A321 yet Prince Harry gets a 777 ?
I thought the queen would be most important.
It was an April Fool’s joke, Tommy.
It wasn’t for real.

…………………..and an A319 with Davina on it. true national treasures!
Oh dear, oh dear……oh dear!!

I’d prefer it even more for BA to fly their passengers, offering the best service and keenest prices as possible. Spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on tail logos would be an indulgence too far………….
You’ve taken that too far!! Worlds worst airline concentrating on their customers!! maybe even god forbid, becoming BRITISH airways and branching away from London!! unheard of 😀

I would much prefer to see a 777 with Bill Bailey on it, a 747 with Morecambe on one side Wise on the other, a 767 with The Quo on it, an A321 with Ant n Dec on it and an A319 with Davina on it. true national treasures!
Much better than the parasite clan.. come on BA get it done!
PS I know the folk mentioned on the april fool apart from catherine middleton.. whozzat then?

Indeed so, which is why I prefaced my post as I did, but totally erroneous comments require correction. I have no further comments on the April Fool, though.:)

If it was to be a real joke, why not put Prince Andrew on an aircraft tail?
To think that I am forced to support these royal parasites with my taxes makes me sick.
Not that it’s anything to do with the thread, but you contribute no support whatsoever to Prince Andrew, to put the recoed straight. The parliamentary annuity he receives is repaid by the Queen.
And you don’t think there would be any presidential parasites if we were a republic? Come on!

I suppose a zap on a Sea King tail is out of the question and to be fair Will does do a job these days that is of value

The artist’s name – Dr Olaf Olisapy – is also an anagram of April Fools Day.

I’d say there’s a clue in the date of the unveiling ceremony – 31st April!
Edit – And I just noticed the head of livery design’s name is an anagram of “a big joke”.
