Went to Kemble yesterday with the Air Atlantique Historic Flight – a great day out and now a highly recommended way of getting to airshows IMHO. Anyway, plenty of Kemble pictures out there on the web, so I thought I’d just post a couple I took on the way home (we were flying in the Twin Pioneer):

The Devon (and a Rapide) had been at Wellesborne doing pleasure flights during the Vulcan runs event, and we were lucky enough to be transitting past Wellesborne from Kemble as they launched back to base at Coventry. Quite obviously, someone somewhere has pics of the Twin Pioneer – I’d love to see those too!

…..there I was at Kemble, got myself a nice spot near the touchdown point, all settled down nicely…..
…when this lumbering great Twin Pin comes in, lands, taxies in – and parks right in front of me !!!! 😮
Couldn’t see a bloody thing after that – had to move.
Flaming rich and famous – plonk themselves right down in front of you without so much as a by-your-leave….as if they own the place..
Comes the revolution mate……………. :diablo:

A couple of great shots there – and very good timing!
I flew to Cosford this year on the Twin Pin, and can highly recommend it as a way of flying to any show.
Beats all the traffic, and you get to feel like a VIP on arrival when you see all the camera’s pointing at the aircraft you are in!!
