Interesting to see Eastern operating such a route, with a Saab 2000. With a distance around 750nm and a 2hr 45min flight time,is the Saab the right aircraft or are Eastern just testing the water for further development. Would the dash 8 400 be a better turbo prop chioce (i know they don’t have one) with more passengers and lower ops cost?

This is not a scheduled service as far as I am aware; Eastern Airways are just the aircraft provider/operator selected by the company that is selling holidays/seats on the flights. Hence why you can only book it through them and not directly via Eastern.;)
