Cheap & Cheerful

I cant begin to compete with the true models on here—but I just finished my Cheap & Cheerful Meteor F3 v V1 Airfix kit ( Got it from grandson on my 66th birthday). A little bit of artistic licence on the nasty display stand. At my age the Devil makes work for idle hands !!!!!

Very nice work! I just finished the Matchbox Meteor NF11, quite pleased with it too. I don’t really do the bigger scale (and therefore more expensive) models. I’d rather mess about and add a little detail to a ‘cheap’ kit, knowing it’ll not be a ridiculous amount of money if I get it wrong…

With you both there gents!
I do RC flying ‘sport-scale’ and it has to be cheap – so I keep cheerful!

Nicely done Auto, I like the camo job on the stand! I’m doing the Airfix Meteor at the moment, although I’m thinking of finishing it in the overall white scheme. I have to say I enjoy building cheap and cheerful kits more than the more advanced stuff- less to go wrong and less money down the pan if things do go wrong. Going cheap keeps things enjoyable, more expensive and you start to get stressed! 😀
