I’m not sure what reg it will be, but it’ll have wings … seats, a crew, windows, and start G-? …
Ok but in seriousness, go on iTunes and get an iPhone (if you have one that is) app that lets you follow aircraft – Reg’s given etc.

Arrogance. Why bother.

A330 or 767 which is best to fly on ?
They both are tubes of aluminium with wings, that will bring you from point a to point b in about the same time. Unless they one day manage to get supersonic airliners in mass service, from a passenger point of view, the differences on airliners are mostly the seats, available IFE (or not, …) and that is mostly carrier dependant, not airplane dependant.

To be fair Grey, Tommy did say “Thanks” in his initial post!;)
Doesn’t quite count!

Echoing what T5 has said above…but according to SeatPlans.com, the 767 appears to be a better choice as voted for by people who have submitted reviews to the site because the 767 gets a rating of 7.3, compared to 5.0 for the A330. (http://www.seatplans.com/airlines/Thomas-Cook-Airlines).
In terms of config…
For the 767, it has a 2+4+2 config pretty much throughout its whole aircraft, with only a few Rows at the front and towards the rear being slightly different.
For the A330, it has a 3+3+3 config for the most part, however, Rows 37-42 are a bit different towards the back as it goes to a 2+3+2 config, with only the 3 seats in the middle in Row 42.
I suppose it depends on how many people you are travelling with and what your preferred seating option would be?

A330 or 767 which is best to fly on ?
When flying with Thomas Cook, I’m not sure any one is better than the other. Whichever one you fly on, you’ll still be packed in like sardines.

They’re much of a muchness. Both aircraft get the job done well enough.
Any differences as far as quality of flying experience is concerned are much more likely to be down to the respective carriers than the aircraft type.

Sounds like an A330 to me. The A330 is a good aircraft, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Tommy, not sure if this helps, but after a quick search I found a tour operator that is selling tickets from Manchester to Calgary as follows:
WEDNESDAY: Manchester – Calgary TCX122K 0930(dep) 1115(arr); Calgary – Manchester TCX122L 1315(dep) 0415+1(arr)
SATURDAY: Manchester – Calgary TCX34K 0930(dep) 1115(arr); Calgary – Manchester TCX34L 1315(dep) 0415+1(arr)
This info does appear to be for the 09/10 season, so not sure if the times are accurate, but are you sure the flight on the 29th is definately TCX34K, as it might in fact be TCX122K as shown above?
Also, according to this picture (http://www.flickr.com/photos/djmads/5094269816/in/photostream/), TCX34K was operated using G-TCXA, which is an Airbus A330 (MSN 795), but this was on the 25th July 2010…so not sure if it will be the exact same aircraft that operates it during the winter season, but its a fair bet that it will be an Airbus A330, and a fair assumption you’ll be travelling on one too on the 29th!
Hope this helps, and hope you have fun in Calgary, its definately a nice city to visit!:)

Surely someone must know if a flight departed to Calgary on saturday from Manchester ?
There is places you could look for the answer yourself Tommy. 😉
By: Grey Area - 22nd December 2010 at 16:41
Oh it was no trouble spending over an hour searching through all of the movement and SBS logs for the 18th and 19th, Tommy.
No need to say “thanks” or anything.
