DJ/NZ alliance gets approval.

Am surprised our fellow forum member down under (Steve Rowell) hasnt mentioned this already, but it appears that Australian authorities have granted an alliance between the country’s budget airline Virgin Blue and Air New Zealand.

An initial proposal for an alliance between the two carriers was rejected, but based on new information that has been submitted the authorities have chosen to give it the go-ahead.

This new alliance will allow Virgin Blue (DJ) and Air Newzeland (NZ) to co-ordinate prices, schedules, capacity and routes between the two countries.
