My La Ferte Alais 2006 pics

Hello Guys.

I found the time to post some pics from my last trip to La Ferte. I’ll include many of the aircraft that attended the show to give you a idea about the big mix of planes that where there.

As always, the show started with some light planes:

Great shots!

The biplane in the first pic, is that a Hatz?

That has to be the only justification for visiting France. I jest of course. I like the touch of doing the Spitfire pics in B&W, adds atmosphere.

Thanks for the constructive FB.

Built to original plans and powered by a 180hp Hispano.

Looked great on Friday night with the Fokker DR1 (130 Clerget rotary)

There were four rotary-engined aeroplanes, one Hispano and a Warner Scarab in the air on Friday night.

It was fun.

Yes melvin. I noticed someone in a red plane had great fun that friday evening. :p

Greets,

Nice pictures, although some of them are a bit over-exposed.

Maybe, but if you look at the airshowprogram, they describe it as an original. But it could be … 😉 Anyway, it looked great!

Great stuff, Stieg, as always 🙂

One thing, though. That “original” SE5a – is it not a replica with an original engine?

The WW2 theme started with a great moment for the french with the debut in france of TFC Curtiss Hawk which few together with the Swiss license built MS406.

Next theme was WW1. Once again, we could see great dogfights with these oldies:

Also this original 1918 SE5a was a highlight:
