I’m looking at some of the Russian Aircraft used by EMERCOM (Ministry of Emergency Situations) and trying to figure out some of the performance datas for these aircraft.
Yet I see some inconsistencies that I hope members of this forum can help me figure out.
Ilyushin’s website states that the IL-76TD’s landing run is 1000 meters and the take off run is 1700 meters.
However on Antonov’s site, the An-74 requires 1800 for take off and 2050 meters for landing. Some how I found this strange since the An-74 is a smaller and lighter aircraft that is also designed for STOL.
Secondly, I am interested in the flight radius of the following helicopters: Mi-26T, Mi-8, and Ka-32. However the official sites only list maximum range. How is radius generally calculated? Some other sites list figures for combat radius but they tend to differ significantly from each other, for example one site lists the Mi-26 as having a flight radius of 1,000 km, but another listing it as 400km.
Of course I know these figures can vary depending on load, wind, fuel, etc, but I’m just looking for some general data.
