SUPER CONSTELLATION VH-EAG

This is the Super Constellation, VH-EAG, refurbished, flown from the USA to Australia and regularly in Australia by the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society from their rapidly expanding base at Illawarra Airport south of Sydney.

The aircraft is representative of the type flown by Qantas, although this particular example was not a cvillian type. The long range tanks were added for effect.

Many of the crew and members of HARS are ex-Qantas.

Here on approach with storm clouds behind. The Bob Eastgate CAC Mustang, VH-BOB, had flown in close proximity to the Connie on this sortie, much to the delight of the passenger in the Mustang and the HARS members on board EAG.
