At the moment I´m flying a lot into EMA during the night and have noticed an airline (I presume it is an airline?) operating out of there that I know nothing about. They usually operate a Piper Seneca in the evenings (departure around 23:00) and usually a Piper Chiftain in the morning (departure around 05:00). Their call sign is “POPSTAR”. I´ve never heard them getting a clearance, so I don´t even know where they fly to!
My interest is only because I think this is the coolest callsign around!

Thanks a lot for that Deano. At least it clarifies the Seneca. It looks lovely from a far, in the dark :D:D
Maybe I should have added that they both depart on north-westerly SID´s out of EMA.

This is a Seneca V owned partly by Mick Hucknell, they were flying it on the AOC of the flying school I instruct at, not sure if this is still the case now though, they do charters in it. This Seneca V is absolutely stunning inside and out, a beaut. It had engine issues though when it was first delivered that Lycoming sorted out, there was a manufacturing defect in certain parts. Anyway all that is irrelevant, but that’s what the aircraft is.
Hope this helps Jon
