Phantom & Canberra finished atlast

Just wanted to share with you all my latest additions to Becky & Heidi’s Technicolour Airforce:

Firstly then, my Revell 1:32 F4F Wildhorse Phantom, I really enjoyed building the kit, but Im not very good at mixing paints, hence the blue is Lufthansa blue instead of the mix of Luft Blue & SM White. The kit itself is brilliant, my 3 Phantoms, FG2 RF4E & F4F are all Revells but my only complaint is the decals, they were right git. Ive only shot one side as I er goofed with the port side and the horses tail looks awful.

Next up is an Eastern Express B (i) 8 Canberra, this is my 4th Cranberry, and when complete my Canberra fleet will have 7 different Mks 4 English & 3 USA. This kit although from the photo looks good, was to be honest total pants and I wont be buying an EE kit ever again ( hey ok it was cheap and it was the only 8 I could get at the time) and the serial is non existant (XM260)

Martin,

Ive actually got a complete (ish) Frog PR7 which just happens to be WH773 and that will take about 20 mins to knock together LoL Although I managed to mess up some of the F4’s decals Im actually very pleased with the model itself and the paint job, as she was all hand painted.

Now a 1/48 Canberra, that sounds very nice and very tempting. Bex

Eastern Express kits are mainly the old 1960’s Frog kits reboxed. So what you are buying are very old models. Saying that though there is some gems out there and in some cases its the only option.

Revel have used the same moulds in the past the Sea Vixen, Shackleton and Gannet spring to mind.

Re Canberra’s the Airfix offering in 1/48 cant be far off now.

TY for the comments Dave, I checked thru UK-Serials and XM260 doesnt appear to have been used for anything. As for changing the decals bit hard now though, covered in clear matt paint 😀 thanks for the offer Dave. Bex

Very nice Bex, but not sure what you mean about the serial. I have many Canberra spares and decals also if you need replacements ?
