Passengers aboard an Austrian Airlines flight to Vienna were evacuated before the plane took off from Belgrade airport following a report of a fire, Serbian public television reported.
The RTS network said the plane was about to take off when the pilots in the cockpit were informed that both engines were on fire.
“The passengers were evacuated through air bags within 20 minutes” and nobody was hurt in the incident, according to the report.
There were 83 passengers and five crew members on board.
The flight was cancelled with passengers being rebooked onto other flights.
Airport secuirity has launched a probe into the incident.
