SDU and 2016

Now that LCY has demonstrated long-haul services, what about SDU?

SDU is even shorter than LCY (runway length 1508 m in LCY, 1323 m in SDU) and has hotter climate – but not those buildings under approaches.

Where are the Olympic venues compared to SDU and GIG? And shall SDU be upgraded for 2016?

IIRC, the oubtound flight flies via SNN, but the return does not.

Does anyone know if, hypothetically speaking an A318 could take off fully fueled from LCY that it even had the range to get to NYC?

A318 certainly has the range to fly NYC-LCY without a Shannon stopover.

It does indeed.
No commercial aircraft can currently depart LCY with sufficient fuel for a trans-pond flight.

It hasn’t, though. The New York service goes via SNN unless I’m mistaken?
