Having just picked up my friend and family from a “package tour ” to Majorca, i was wondering if everyone agrees that the Package part of the title is not really correct anymore, it more a holiday with a lot of extras, you put on from the brochure.
My friend said there were very few people having meals on the plane back as it was £12 each per leg ie family of 4 £98, they didn’t book seats , but managed to get together, i think luggage was included as were transfers. I have visited Antigua with Thomas Cook Signature (ie there deluxe brochure), but they still sting you for £25 each/each way for transfers, crammed into a toyota people carrier.
i can only think it was easier 20 years ago when you got a brochure picked a destination and date to suit, and the only supplement was £10 to fly from Manchester, not a flight supplement to fly at nice time of day. anyone else remeber the good old days
